We, especially as women/ caretakers, need to book non-negotiable self care into our calendars. Read that line again.
Think of your life fence as being made up of self care "posts," and the heavier the burden on the fence the closer together these posts need to be.
Posts give the fence strength. Your posts can be time with loved ones, family time, time spent connecting to your spiritual purpose/ God. Posts can come in the form of spa days, journaling, or a booked massage.
Book some "white space," days today; in your planner right now. Days where you do nothing, or something rejuvenating.
Do you know you have a big event coming up? Book time before to collect yourself and after to recover. Remember that the heavier the burden on the fence, the closer together the self care posts need to be.
You need to take care of you before you can take care of anything else. I have (am) learning this the hard slow way and I hope that you can learn it much easier than me.
