1. Purchase GoodNotes 5 from the App store: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/goodnotes-5/id1444383602 It’s about $10 depending on your currency. You can use PDF Reader Pro, it’s free, but GoodNotes is intuitive like Apple and easiest to use if your going to do it, not just try it, invest in GoodNotes. It’s the best App I have ever purchased.
2. Now, with GoodNotes, you can use digital planners that have “hyper linked tabs,” this means when you click on a tab it opens to that page like a actual planner. *pop confetti* Otherwise you can import any PDF and write on it with a stylus, but you’ll have to flip through each page this way: ok for workbooks, not so fun for a 365 page planner. However it will open to the last page you used so if your say scrapbooking you don’t need the linked tabs.
3. If you are a digital planner you have to join The Full Moon Society Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/821925718154267/?ref=share . She has a free quarterly magazine and digitial planner charms, and her etsy shop is amazing: real low prices -every day! Think Walmart. She is also super sweet and creatively inspiring, and her group is friendly. She has so many freebies, like the magazine (which is FULL of free stickers) https://etsy.me/30pH4ju and usually under $2 for a pack of stickers and you don’t have to wait for a sale, her prices are fair and low everyday: I like that I can buy it on the spot and not put it in my cart for 7 weeks LOL! Her art is unique to, and gorgeous.
4. Super affordable and cute planners and notebook covers to switch up your planner cover or put a cover on a PDF: https://www.etsy.com/ca/shop/PlanPlanStudio . I recommend this planner as it’s cute, cheap, tons of tabs: https://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/786976762/quarantine-digital-planner-in-rosegold?ref=shop_home_active_1&crt=1
5. For blackout paper, which looks amazing with white, pastel or neon bright ink; these black digital notebooks and planners are affordable: https://bossbabestudio.uk/?ref=jwwepwgfhiyw Black paper is less straining for your eyes too!
6. Shameless plug: I have created some PWYW (Pay What You Want) digital planners for our group that you can see here: https://gumroad.com/l/rainbowspoonie?fbclid=IwAR0NoMp_oalQoG9ZqwFmUH4UPYoJRi3v3Gvvrsi0ogkssMW65BaYVlpYKdA and I made a video that explains:
✔️How to download your digital planner and
✔️How to use your digital planner in the Good Notes app. It’s pinned it in announcements of our group, as I cannot offer tech support one on one. I made a handicapped planner too, a Star Wars Planner, a Glam makeup girly coral planner, and a LV designer one -plus a Notebook with hyperlinked tabs; you can find them all here: https://gumroad.com/ladycelesteeden?fbclid=IwAR0bnHK1qbIvpWQB20xPiYsk42z6TUfQpEOQBLX7y_7xe4ZIiVPRWTijCQ4&sort=newest
7. DPC Digitals is insanely strict about their rules, I mean I got kicked out of the Facebook Group for posting a freebie on #FreebieFriday without checking with admin first! So be really careful if you share in the group, but you can get a lot of free stuff (monthly notebooks, $2 Tuesday planners) if you get on their email list and check the website archives: http://dpcdigitals.com . To shop digital stickers: https://etsy.me/2ZgUzjC
8. Blessings Manifesting makes a CUTE self care planner: https://www.blessingmanifesting.com/2020-self-care-planner/ and she is a woman of color. I love using her bright, happy, positive planner.
9. Lucid-Pen! Affordable and oh so cute: https://www.lucid-pen.com
10. Dribble, the cute grey drop character from AGoodwinDesigns Simple and Effective Digital Planning by AGoodwinDesign on Etsy
11. Gorgeous “real,” planner spreads, 500+ stickers in a kit for like $4 on sale: https://etsy.me/2ymGaX5 from PrintPetticoatBandit
12. RandomScraps has cute, well, scraps of paper and washi! RandomScraps Digital Planning Downloads by RandomScraps on Etsy
13. You need an iPad and stylus to be able to write on your planner in the GoodNotes App. You do NOT need the iPad Pro, just an iPad that is compatible with the iPencil. It’s so intuitive. I suck at computers and am self taught, no YouTube videos even required. Copy paste, undo and lasso are your friends.
The best part is you can have many planners and use new stuff every day if you want: this would be maddening on paper, but it’s surprisingly easy to manage and fun digitally. Well, you have seen how many I post. 😂
You are going to love it. 6 months ago I said I would NEVER even consider trying digital. Now it’s a daily part of my day and the best part of my day.
