Use natural boar bristle brushes and wide tooth combs so you do not add additional stress on the hair. Hair is most vulnerable to breakage when (can you guess?) it is wet. Yes, after you wash it, when you are ripping that old brush through it like a mad woman trying to get ready for work on time! No! Please, use a wide tooth single row comb and starting at the bottom gently remove knots working your way up. It is the healthiest and fastest way (or us true professionals would not do it like that).
Remember that these lessons are tools meant to be changed and re-worked to help you live your best life.
Maya Angelou said when you know better you do better. So, keep learning new things and rearrange things as needed.
Go through the steps seasonally; think of it as a style update! Not only will your hair flow, your life will too!
Not only should this be fun, easy and seamlessly a part of your life, I hope it goes without saying that life is always changing, so you need to review update often, or as I like to say, “Rinse and repeat.”
Thank goodness technology is constantly improving our hair styling tools. You would not use inferior tools on your hair, don’t you think your life plan deserves as much thought?
I hope you enjoyed these hair lessons applied to life. If so, let me know and I will expand on the content. There is a lot I could still cover, but I hope this little intro was easy, fun and useful.
