I started with the bee printable and the desire to make something for my husband. No plan. Pulled out all my new stuff and for the first time ever used Holtz distress ink, transfers, multimedia (I think?) sort of stuff/ inspired.
I am so PROUD of the end result. I didn't know what the next thing would be, it just came to me for each step. I can't explain except to say this must be what they mean when they talk of inspired art.

I think others may relate. I am on 4 (yah cause 1 isn't bad enough) drugs that have weight gain as a side effect, I need all 4 drugs to live-literally-and I have gained over 100 pounds in the last 2 years. I have been fit and very thin (thanks genetics) my whole life (35 years) and now I don't know what to do when I can't exercise (medically, literally again). Any healthy recipes or tips you can give me? And I drink water and black or herbal tea ALL day long... The drugs literally again (not excuses lol) take away the "full feeling" (which is nothing more than a chemical in your brain) so I never feel satisfied. I have tried watching portions, recording what I eat and when. The thing is I can't move (walk or exercise in any form). My doctor today gently said I may need to just accept I will be big for the rest of my life, and that fat doesn't mean unhealthy, especially in my conditions where the illness outweighs (no pun intended) the weight issue. But, I keep gaining weight and that is what scares me. First it was just 25lbs. Then oh 50, wow. Now over 100 I want to cry. Not because I hate the fat, not because I have had a drop in self esteem or any of that stuff. Just because I don't want to keep getting bigger because it makes it harder to move and with limited ability to move in the first place.... Sorry, I needed to vent. Maybe there is no help... or my doctor would have told me today? I had my annual and was weighed and put on almost 50 pounds- yet my clothing all still fits so I was surprised! I didn't think I had gained. I keep thinking I have stabilized that this higher weight # and then it goes up again! *Why can't drugs have side effects like loosing weight and younger skin?! April turned a new leaf for me. I finally realized I have been resisting self-care, and that allowed me to make the decision that I was going to purposely incorporate it into my life. My goals are very small as I am sick, but they are huge to me. Focussing on myself has replaced me scrolling Facebook and worrying about producing regular posts for my Facebook page or my blog. I am taking the time I need for me.
